Together with 12 other leading bioregions in Europe, BioM successfully launched the “ABCEurope“ project for the Munich region in September 2009. The aim of ABCEurope is to promote and boost cooperation among European bioregions and their companies and to encourage the development of transnational cooperation schemes in the field of biotechnology. The work of the cluster organizations is assisted by extending and improving the range of services they offer. In addition, new service packages are to be implemented for innovative SMEs, with a view to creating a more favourable environment for growth, international cooperation, transnational innovations and start-ups. Such measures will strengthen the leading global position of the European biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry.
