Cluster Exchange

BioM cooperates with diverse national and international life science organizations and networks to exchange information and experience (best practices), to initiate cooperations and benefit from synergy effects.

  • BIO Deutschland - sector association of the German biotechnology industry

  • Council of European BioRegions (CEBR):  founder member and advisory board. In the Special Interest Group (SIG) for Incubation, Munich is a model region for incubator concepts capable of being implemented on international scale. Furthermore, BioM is also actively engaged in the Shared Facilities and Cluster Managers SIGs.

  • In 2009, Munich was successful with its bid to become a partner region in the  "ABCEurope" project (Advanced Biotech Cluster Platforms for Europe) as part of "Europe INNOVA CIP-EIP Work Programmes 2009".

  • From September 2006 to December 2008, BioM was actively involved in the "EurOffice Services" programme, a Europe-wide network of 21 cross-sectoral incubators sponsored by the “Pro INNO” Initiative of the European Commission.

  • German-Russian Cooperation Network Biotechnology 2011-2013, which has set itself the goal of intensifying German-Russian cooperation between industry, clinics and research institutes in Russia and Germany. The partnership focusses on biotechnology, bio photonic, and medtech, as well es on clinical research.

  •  The Kompetenznetze Deutschland initiative of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Technologie)  brings together the best-performing innovation clusters in Germany.

  • The Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) can help to locate innovative technologies, to market technologies on the international stage and open up new markets

  • In the Project Forum of the Council of European Biotech Regions (CEBR) members can observe current projects in the development and application phase and then join them or launch new projects.
