LabPMM GmbH, a newly formed molecular diagnostics laboratory performing leukemia testing, is a subsidiary of LabPMM LLC, which is located in San Diego, California, USA. This full-time position provides the opportunity to start with a new company and help set the culture of the company. The ideal candidate will have some experience in molecular biology and be highly motivated and able to work independently. This position has a start date of February 2011 and will be located in the Martinsried area.

The duties of this position include:

» Following SOPs

» Performing all aspects of testing such as: specimen accessioning, specimen testing, specimen reporting

» Quality monitoring

» Troubleshooting the testing

» Ensuring compliance with DAkkS/ISO 15189 accreditation

» Providing excellent customer relations

» Maintaining turn-around-times of the testing

» Ensuring a safe work environment

» Equipment management

» Monitoring and maintaining inventory

Required Knowledge or Experience:

» Fluent in English and German

» A MTA-L certification or B.Sc. in molecular biology or equivalent

» Knowledge of common computer programs used in laboratories

Desirable Knowledge or Experience:

» Previous experience with Molecular Oncology Testing

» Previous DAkkS or ISO 15189 accreditation experience

» Experience with capillary electrophoresis on the ABI platform

» Previous experience with laboratory developed assays
