Munich-based healthtech start-up Caire.ai has raised 850,000 euros in a pre-seed round. The company is developing technology that uses video recordings of a person’s face to determine vital parameters such as heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and stress levels. Lead investor is VC YZR Capital. <link https: bayernkapital.de en _blank>Bayern Kapital, <link https: www.capacura.de en _blank>capacura, <link https: www.docmorris.de _blank>online pharmacy DocMorris, and healthcare angel investor <link https: www.linkedin.com in _blank>Martin Blüggel also participated in the round.
The smart AI-based health monitoring solution operates completely contactless and is compatible with almost any standard camera. With its technology, Caire.ai aims to provide the clinical sector with faster ways to capture patients’ vital signs. Hospitals could thus implement rapid, contactless, and fully digital triage systems. Beyond clinical applications, the technology can also be used in the automotive industry or consumer technology—envisioning, for instance, vehicles that monitor drivers’ health or smartphones offering enhanced, continuous health monitoring features.
Caire.ai has now convinced numerous investors with this innovation, who have provided a total of 850,000 euros in pre-seed funding. The round was led by healthcare-focused VC YZR Capital. Bayern Kapital and capacura, the online pharmacy DocMorris and Martin Blüggel, a healthcare angel investor, also invested. The young company is using this fresh capital to drive forward both medical certification and product development.
Caire.ai is already collaborating with Klinikum Fürth, where its solution has analyzed around 2,800 patients to date. The start-up’s vision goes beyond measuring vital signs: it aims to explore how AI can analyze video recordings of the face and other body parts of the body to detect diseases, enable early prevention, and provide deeper insights into individual health.
