From 08 – 10 October 2025, BIO-Japan will take place in Yokohama (Japan). For the second largest pharmaceutical market in the world, this partnering conference offers a central networking platform with the local industry. Prior to that, the EU-Japan Biotech & Pharma Partnering Conference in Osaka provides an additional opportunity for targeted matchmaking between European and Japanese companies. BioM will represent the Bavarian biotechnology cluster with cluster participation as well as at the Bavarian joint pavilion, alongside six outstanding Bavarian companies.
Two high-impact events in October 2025 – one trip, double the benefit!
BIO-Japan 2025, 08.–10. October 2025, Yokohama
BIO-Japan is regarded as the leading partnering event for biotechnology and pharmaceuticals in Asia and comprises an exhibition (presentation of the latest technologies in drug research, regenerative medicine and healthcare technology), seminars (around 200 specialist presentations on current industry trends and innovations) and partnering (automated 1-to-1 meeting system for targeted business contacts). At the same time, the trade fair will also feature sections on Regenerative Medicine Japan and healthTECH JAPAN, focusing on cell therapies and digital health.

EU-Japan Biotech & Pharma Partnering Conference, 06.–07 October 2025, Osaka
Directly before BioJapan, the EU-Japan Biotech & Pharma Partnering Conference will take place on 6 October in Osaka. This offers targeted matchmaking opportunities with companies from the local industry and promotes cooperation between European and Japanese players in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors. On 7 October, participants will also have the opportunity to get to know the regional innovation ecosystem first-hand as part of a half-day site visit before continuing their journey to Yokohama for BioJapan.
Taking place right before BioJapan, this conference is a perfect starting point at the heart of Japan’s pharmaceutical hub offering
- 1:1 matchmaking meetings with Japanese and European companies
- Poster presentation by each participating company
- Half-day site visit on October 7 to explore the local innovation ecosystem in Osaka
