The Paul Martini Foundation announces the annual Paul Martini Prize for the year 2025 and calls for international entries. The Prize is endowed with EUR 50.000 and is donated by the Paul Martini Foundation, Berlin.
The award honours outstanding achievements in the field of clinical pharmacology. This includes the development and application of clinical-pharmacological methods for the assessment of therapeutic measures as well as therapy studies and their socio-economic aspects. In the selection process, particular attention is paid to work that already contains results for application in humans.
Deadline of entry is 12 January 2025.
It was donated in commemoration of the eminent scientist and physician Professor Dr. Paul Martini (Bonn), in appreciation of his special contributions to the promotion and development of clinical therapeutic research which he has shaped over decades with his 'Methodology of Therapeutic Investigation', which was already published in 1932. A scientific advisory board of six renowned scientists will determine the winner(s) of the Prize.
The submitted papers (maximum of four) must be self-contained and either published within the current or the last two years or in press (with indication of journal). The submitting candidate must be the first author*, second author* with equal rights or senior author* of the submitted work(s). The written consent of the non-submitting first author, second author of equal standing or senior author of the paper(s) must be enclosed. Applications from Paul Martini Prize winners of previous years cannot be considered.
