Account & Business Development Manager
Key Responsibilities
Client & Account Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong and trusted relationships throughout ongoing collaborations.
- Act as the interface between the laboratory teams and the client, ensuring transparent communication and alignment of expectations.
- Maintain close communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle and ensure a high level of client satisfaction.
Project Coordination
- Support the planning, coordination, and monitoring of project execution in close collaboration with the project team and laboratory experts.
- Coordinate project-related activities, timelines, and costs to ensure smooth and efficient project delivery.
- Organize and lead client meetings, project updates, and internal coordination meetings.
- Prepare, review, and align development reports in collaboration with the development department before submission to clients.
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and support the expansion of collaborations with existing clients.
- Prepare and coordinate client proposals and quotations, working closely with scientific and management teams to ensure technically sound and competitive offers.
- Participate in contract discussions and negotiations with clients (in collaboration with the management team).
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade fairs, and networking events to strengthen visibility and build new client relationships.
- Contribute to the preparation of client presentations, project proposals, and partnership discussions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with scientific teams, management, and commercial colleagues to ensure efficient project execution and alignment of business objectives.
- Ensure smooth internal coordination between laboratory, project teams, and commercial functions.
Qualifications
- Degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related scientific field.
- Professional experience in pharmaceutical development, contract research, scientific services, or project management is preferred.
- Experience in client-facing roles, account management, or business development is an advantage.
- Strong communication, organizational, and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
- Confident in interacting with both scientific teams and external clients.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to client meetings, conferences, and trade fairs.
- Fluent in German and English; additional languages are a plus.
