Technical Assistant (m/w/d) Immune Cell Analysis and Modification - Temporary Position
Your Responsibilities
Our research focuses on the development and clinical translation of new selection technologies and manufacturing processes for primary human cells to be used in adoptive immunotherapy. We are looking for a dedicated open-minded colleague to join our team to professionally support the daily laboratory operations for cell and gene therapy projects:
- Phenotyping and functional characterization of primary human cells (performing various analytical methods such as flow cytometry, PCR and ELISA) in context of development and formal process development projects
- Applying and further developing functional and molecular biology methods (including assay development for QC)
- Development and optimization of new selection technologies facilitating access to primary cell subsets
- Selection and cultivation of primary human cells under GMP-like conditions
- Perform aseptic techniques in a S1 biosafety level environment
- Analysis of data and accurate documentation of experimental procedures as well as contribution to project-related reports and presentations
- Participate in maintaining compliance with safety and quality guidelines, including regular cleaning and record-keeping, culture, maintain, and characterize mammalian cell lines
- Assist with inventory management, orderings, and maintaining laboratory equipment
Your Qualifications & Skills
- Completed training as BTA, MTA, CTA, or equivalent qualification
- Team-oriented, precise working style, self-initiative, and interest in application-driven research
- Practical laboratory experience in cell culture, particularly with primary (human) immune cells
- Knowledge of non-viral genetic modification technologies (e.g. CRISPR/Cas9, mRNA, LNPs, templates) is highly desirable
- Experience with murine test models is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Proficient German and English skills, both in writing and verbal
