Catalent/Consilienta Workshop - Unlocking Biotech Value: Speed to First-in-Human Matters
Biotechnology companies that advance from preclinical research to first-in-human (FIH) trials can achieve a significant valuation uplift, with some analyses indicating an average increase of 87% compared with peers that move more slowly. Reaching the clinic is therefore not only a scientific milestone, but also a strategic lever for value creation. As large pharmaceutical companies pursue earlier-stage acquisitions, FIH clinical data has become an increasingly important marker of investor and partner readiness.
