ValidationLab 2018: discover the business potential of your health-tech ideas

Dutch tech incubator YES!Delft in cooperation with BioM is looking for MedTech entrepreneurs.

EIT Health ValidationLab is a unique two-month pressure cooker program that allows aspiring entrepreneurs from all over Europe to discover the business potential of their health-tech ideas. The program helps participants to explore and validate their ideas, product/market fit and business model – and to launch in markets all over Europe. The organizers combine a proven concept with an excellent European network.

The third edition of EIT Health Bootcamp ValidationLab will kick off in September 2018.

ValidationLab consists of 8 weeks of:

  • Workshops: covering subjects such as business model innovation, problem & customer validation, value proposition design, finance & legal structure, IP  protection, pitching to clients & investors.
  • Peer-to-peer sessions: discussing your validation process with fellow and  aspiring entrepreneurs.
  • Time (and an office/lab space) to work on your own business cases, meet  potential partners on-site and develop prototypes in top notch facilities.
  • Networking: introductions to the EIT Health and YES!Delft network that spans across the Dutch and overall European innovation sector. Bringing you in contact with the right people in organisations that could serve as your launching customer, supplier or investor.
  • Excursions: inviting you to meet partners within the EIT Health network in different countries all over Europe. The roadtrip is co-created with BioM (Germany), Trinity College (Ireland) and Biocat (Spain). Participants will visit BioM from October 16th - 19th, 2018.

ValidationLab is looking for:

  • Teams with the ambition to start a company
  • Master students, PhDs, graduates, scientists and (young) professionals
  • Medtech/Healthcare
  • Early stage MedTech ideas, preferrably Complex Technologies and Hardware
  • Ideas should address one or several EIT Health Challenges

    1) promote healthy living
    2) support active ageing
    3) improve healthcare

  • Commitment to the program in Delft (8 weeks total, including roadtrip)
  • Preferable 2-3 founders per team
