Director / Vice President / Senior Vice President Business Development – United Kingdom (gn)
• Lead Proteros’ business development strategy and activities in the UK pharma and biotech market.
• Identify, qualify and convert new business opportunities into long term and strategic partnerships.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior scientific and business stakeholders, including CXO level executives, Heads of R and D and other decision makers.
• Identify and position opportunities for stand alone and integrated discovery programs across Proteros’ full service portfolio.
• Develop and grow multi project collaborations and long term strategic partnerships aligned to customer needs in the UK.
• Focus engagement within major UK science hubs including London, Cambridge and Oxford.
• Represent Proteros at relevant industry conferences, events and customer meetings across the UK.
• Develop and execute account plans that drive sustainable business growth and long term customer engagement.
• Collaborate closely with scientific and commercial leadership to support proposal development, project strategies and commercial planning.
• Work seamlessly with internal teams in Munich to ensure consistent project scoping, pricing, onboarding and delivery.
• Lead commercial negotiations and contribute to the structuring of complex partnership models.

• 5 to 15 years of business development experience, depending on level, ideally with at least 5 years in the CRO or drug discovery industry.
• Degree in a life sciences discipline.
• Extensive network within the UK life sciences ecosystem (biotech, pharma, investors) with the ability to leverage key relationships to win new business.
• Deep understanding of early drug discovery, structural biology, proteins, biophysics, screening and integrated small molecule and biologics programs.
• Strong strategic mindset and excellent commercial judgment.
• Proven record of winning new business, territory development and partnership building.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the UK and occasionally to Munich.
• This position can be field based anywhere in Europe, with a strong preference for a UK location.
