Time and Place
Tuesday, 03.03.2020, 13:30 pm – 17:30 pm
BioM Biotech Cluster Development GmbH, Am Klopferspitz 19a (IZB West II, 3. OG), 82152 Martinsried
Innovations are a basic ingredient for success. The first step to securing one’s innovations is to have them patented. However, if the innovation cannot be protected or one’s rights enforced, profits will suffer. A real protection for innovative products is ensured only if the company has the financial means to take an infringer to court and / or to defend itself against potential allegations.
In this seminar you will learn how to protect your intellectual property (IP) as a SME or start-up, what you need and how it works in practice. Various examples from the practice of patent attorneys will illustrate which strategies and measures are useful.
- IP Insurance - what is it? Reasons to insure, how to apply and needs
- Evaluation of the policy, risk assessment, explanation of claim process and potential problems
- View of patent attorney regarding claim - three case studies
This seminar is intended for small and medium-sized enterprises (SME), start-ups, investors and patent attorneys.
