With the Bavarian m4 Award, initiated by BioM, the Free State of Bavaria supports innovative products, technologies or services of young companies that decisively advance the further development of medicine of the future. The focus is on medical biotechnology. The prize is awarded every two years by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs.
The m4 Award supports academic research projects with spin-off potential in the pre-seed phase. Its emphasis is on medical biotechnology. Academic research groups from Bavaria can apply for project funding of up to 500,000 € for two years. The purpose is to enhance and validate research results and to achieve seed-funding readiness.
The award ceremony is going to take place at the Munich Residence on the evening of October 24, 2023 to celebrate the m4 award winners 2023.
