Short event description
The BioM Crash Course Biotech I (Beginner) is a highly accessible, interactive introduction to biotechnology designed for beginners and professionals without a scientific background.
Based on BioM’s modernized course concept, the program offers a compact, practice-oriented overview of:
- Core principles of biotechnology
- Molecular and biochemical foundations
- Essential laboratory & analytical methods (PCR, cell culture, CRISPR, etc.)
- Product development & clinical translation
- Regulatory frameworks & real-world applications
- Insights into AI-supported drug development
Participants receive a BioM Certificate of Attendance indicating the individual session topics they attended!

The course is ideal for newcomers to biotech, interdisciplinary teams, startup founders, BD/marketing professionals, investors wanting deeper insight - and anyone interested in understanding the technologies shaping today’s Life Sciences.
The course also prepares participants for BioM Crash Course Biotech II (Advanced) in fall 2026.

As an optional bonus (but participation is recommended!), we offer you a practical conclusion with a visit at the MAxL Laboratory. The aim is to link theoretical content with real-world applications and promote networking.
Terms & Conditions of participation
- Language: The sessions will be held in English.
- Presentation slides: Once the speakers have given their approval, we can make the lecture slides available to participants.
- Certificate: Participants receive a BioM Certificate of attendance indicating the individual session topics they attended.
- Recordings: For data protection reasons, there will be no recordings of the sessions.
- In-person networking event: This is an optional bonus and will only take place if there are at least 5 registrations.
- Cancellation: Cancellation is free of charge up to 14 days before the start of the course. For details, please refer to our General Terms and Conditions.
- Payment: All participants registered by that date will be sent an invoice on Thursday, 26 March 2026, payment required before first session.
