Internationalization of Biotechnological Companies

BioM is a partner of bioXclusters plus, an EU-funded project for facilitating access to non-European markets in the Life Sciences sector. Its purpose is to reduce the entry barriers to challenging global markets for small and medium-sized European companies. In addition to BioM (Bavaria), Biocat (Catalonia), BioPmed/Bioindustry Park Silvano Fumero (Piemonte) and Lyonbiopole (Rhone-Alpes) are participating.

BioXclusters plus develops partnerships with cluster organizations in selected key regions of the industry. Its focus is on China, Japan, South Korea, South Australia, the USA, Canada and Brazil. Target countries

Jointly with local partners, support for European companies is provided including insider knowledge, information on soft landings and technology parks as well as finding adequate business partners and personal contacts to pharmaceutical or other businesses. BioXclusters plus organizes partnering events. Further training on local topics is conducted, concerning for example patent protection in China.

The bioXclusters plus project is funded by the European Commission from January 2016 to December 2017. This will continue the successful bioXclusters project from 2012 to 2014.
