The examination of a tissue sample by a pathologist is part of the clinical routine procedures, such as in cancer diagnostics. Digital image analysis allows for the quantification of the qualitative results and their correlation with other data. The solutions developed by the Definiens for the "digital pathology" allow higher throughput, better comparability and deeper analysis of tissue samples - in the development of tissue-based biomarkers, as well as in the clinical applications.
