On October 13, the FGK event "20 years FGK" took place in Munich. At the historic Nockherberg location, the Munich-based biotechnology company FGK Clinical Research celebrated with more than 250 customers, partners, employees and friends. After interesting and inspiring presentations by high-ranking companions and guests such as Prof. Dr. Ulrike Protzer, Dr. Ulrich Granzer and Dr. Tobias Gantner, there was fine food and good conversation.
The FGK Clinical Research GmbH was founded in 2002 and started as a small, owner-managed CRO in Munich with a strong focus on high quality and flexible services for biotech, pharma and medical device companies. Over the years, the company opened offices in the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary and Berlin and established specialized subsidiaries across Europe to provide additional regulatory and pharmacovigilance services to its growing international client base.
From the beginning until today, co-founders Edgar Fenzl and Martin Krauss have managed the company as an owner-operated business with a special focus on its own employees and team performance.
Looking back on the last 20 years, Edgar Fenzl says:
"2002 was a very difficult year for the CRO industry. Starting a CRO at that time and successfully developing and diversifying this business over the last 20 years cannot be overstated. A special thanks for this goes to FGK's employees and to our partners and customers."
Commenting on the company's success, Martin Krauss adds,
