Help SMEs to enter new markets

BioM is again partner of bioXclusters+, a project co-funded by the EU with the goal to help life science companies entering non-European markets. The project aims to lower market entry barriers in difficult global hot spots for small and medium sized enterprises from Europe. Project partners are BioM (Bavaria), Biocat (Catalonia) bioPmed/Bioindustry Park Silvano Fumero (Piemonte) and Lyonbiopole (Rhone-Alpes).

bioXclusters+ establishes partnerships with cluster organisations in five key regions of the life science sector. China, Japan, South Australia, Brazil, and the United States have been selected. Together with the regional partners, support opportunities for European companies are being developed over the next two years. For example, industry knowledge is provided, information about soft landing services and technology parks are given, and contacts to business partners are established, e.g. in the pharmaceutical industry. Moreover, bioXclusters+ organises partnering events, for example an additional partnering event in Osaka accompanying BioJapan 2016. Furthermore, advanced trainings regarding country-specific topics are planned, for example about patent protection in China.

The project bioXclusters+ is funded by the European Commission from 2016 until 2018. It constitutes a continuation of the successful bioXclusters project from 2012 to 2014.
