Innovation Days Winners’ Event 2019: place 7 for Munich team

On 1st December the EIT Health Innovation Days Winners' Event 2019 took place in Paris. In workshops, the 33 EIT Health i-Day winner teams further developed their ideas with the support of mentors and coaches.

At the end of the event, the i-Day teams had the opportunity to present their work in a pitch. The three best teams were presented at the award ceremony and rewarded with impressive prize packages and with the opportunity to present their ideas at the next day's EIT Health Summit.

Places 4 to 10 received an EIT Health Mentoring Coaching Network voucher worth 1500 euros. The team consisting of Dr. Vanesa Fernandez (Junior Group Leader at TUM), Dr. Sonja Lacher (Postdoc at BioMedical Center LMU), Thomas Raab (Student at TUM) and Christina Schwarting (BioEntrepreneur Martinsried), winner of the i-Day at BioM, achieved 7th place for their sophisticated well thought out idea of a "Caregivers App".

The aim of the EIT Health i-Days is to to boost the innovation spirit among academics at Universities and Research Institutes across Europe and kick-start innovation in the area of healthcare. In total, the 31 i-Days reached at least 1,500 students across Europe.
