The Lighthouse Project DigiMed Bayern is pleased to announce its first Public Seminar Series

The health Data Lake: Opportunity and challenge in the digital era

Opportunities for digitization in medicine are enormous for patients, for the healthcare system and for the economy. A great potential lies in the collection, consolidation and evaluation of large amounts of data. Keywords here are "Big Data" and "Data Lake".

The DigiMed Bayern consortium cordially invites you to a series of public talks followed by a brief discussion at the German Heart Center Munich (DHM). Renowned scientists and pioneers of advanced infrastructure and P4 medicine projects in Europe will present their work.

The aim is to provide orientation, a status report and networking for all players in the Bavarian health care system and for interested non-professionals. A specific focus is on Big Data IT infrastructure for the purpose of application-oriented research and development. A diligent approach of data protection issues and of a secure and efficient IT infrastructure for medical data provides the basis for the medicine of future. This approach applies not only to unpreceded patient data, but also to derived, aggregated, pseudonymized and anonymized information.
